Sales of the RedmiK20 pro (at Mi 9T pro in some markets) announced last May will stop this month.
This confirmation comes from Xiaomi VP Lu Weibing through a post on Chinese social network Weibo, and since Weibing didn't say anything about the vanilla K20, it's safe to say that the non-Pro variant will remain available for purchase for the time being.
The discontinuation of K20 Pro's sales comes at a time when the company is preparing to launch the K30 Pro.
Redmi hasn't officially revealed any details about the K30 Pro yet, but thanks to its Geekbench listing, we know it will arrive with Snapdragron 865 SoC, 8GB RAM and Android 10, which will be likely layered with MIUI 11 on top.
The K30 Pro is rumored to sport a quad camera setup on backside , with a 64MP Sony IMX686 main unit. It will pack a 4700 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
More details about the Redmi K30 Pro should surface in the coming days
